Limb Shims

Limb Shims

For quick testing of poundage or tiller changes, insert these shims between the top surface of the bow limb and the bottom surface of the tiller bolt head. The shim is designed to clip onto the tiller bolt similarly to how an arrow nock clips onto a bow string. Each shim has a thickness of 0.3mm, 0.6mm, or 1.2mm (indicated by the inset label on the shim itself). Many risers use a tiller bolt thread pitch of 1.25mm, so one thick 1.2mm shim is equivalent to about one full turn of the tiller bolt. The shims can also be stacked for different combinations of total thickness.Using a shim allows a change to be immediately and precisely undone, restoring the bow's previous setting without any guesswork. To install, simply unstring the bow and clip the shim into place between the tiller bolt head and the limb.

These are intended only for short-term testing. It is not recommended to leave these installed long-term.

Fits all ILF and Formula bows.

Sold as a pack of 6 - two of each size. The sizes are labeled on each shim.
